The Novas Honour Remembrance Day

The Novas Honour Remembrance Day

Prior to Sunday’s game against The Gulls, The Novas took time to recognize the upcoming Remembrance Day.

Each year, our team proudly wears special camouflage jerseys featuring a poppy on the chest to honour and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Before puck drop, both The Novas and The Gulls stood respectfully on their respective blue lines for a brief ceremony and the playing of the National Anthem — a moment of unity, reflection, and gratitude to those who gave their lives for the freedoms we enjoy today.

Lest We Forget.

The Novas Proudly Support Special Olympics Nova Scotia

The Novas Proudly Support Special Olympics Nova Scotia

Each season, The Novas are proud to support the Special Olympics of Nova Scotia through our home-game 50/50 draws. All proceeds from these draws are donated directly to the Special Olympics, helping to support programs and athletes across our region.

The 50/50 table at each home game is operated by Special Olympics volunteers. Each week, a different Special Olympics athlete and their family join us at the rink to sell tickets and take part in the game-day experience. This partnership not only raises funds for an incredible cause, but also helps strengthen the connection between our team, our community, and these inspiring athletes.
